Market Restaurant + Bar

The first time I visited Market Restaurant + Bar was back in 2010, and then again a couple of weeks ago.  After dinner, my only thought was, “Why did it take me so long to return?”  Upon entering, it seemed that the restaurant went through a few renovations since the last time my girlfriend (now wife) and I were there.  The food however, was exactly the same as the first visit…unbelievably delicious!  Chef Carl Schroeder has taken the farm to table concept to a whole new level.  Each dish was cooked to culinary perfection and the amuse bouche were some of the best I’ve ever had.

The restaurant is quite small yet cozy, and service has been top notch both times we’ve visited.  Market Restaurant + Bar is a foodie heaven and I can’t recommend it enough.  The next time you visit San Diego, make sure Market Restaurant + Bar is on your “must eat” list!  The only thing bad about this place for me….it’s nearly a five hour drive from Vegas 😦
